We’re gonna hear a lot about horrible civilian casualties in Ukraine. We’ll probably be told that these tragedies are unprecedented and this may even demand a war. You will probably even hear some of our government officials make these claims.

It’s worth remembering that in the numerous accidental civilian deaths caused by U.S. strikes, our government’s response has always been “uhhh Whoops!” Nobody pays for those mistakes and no major outlet demands war crime trials for generals.

This stuff is terrible, but people need to resist being manipulated by these images and stories into supporting a very bad idea. You can find the same stories from our war on terror.
