Hugh Meredith, a political science major at McDaniel College, is a long time paid protester, whose history of being the "loudest person in the room" is set as his winning strategy. Hugh collects his salary from Progressive Victory, a political action committee dedicated to the election of progressive candidates and the lobbying of progressive policy.

However, Hugh’s activism is not just limited to “progressivism”. Hugh is a member of far left, socialist organizations such as FLARE (For Liberation and Resistance Everywhere) USA and the Democratic Socialists of America. Through his activism within these organizations, he has expressed that his only hope with electoral politics lays with the infiltration of radical socialists into the Democratic Party (https://archive.is/0lkiz). This position has certainly influenced his involvement with Progressive Victory, where he is being paid to funnel funding and manpower into candidates that will continue to drag the Democratic Party further left into outright socialism.

Hugh has taken a leading role in many protests. At the Anti-Trump encampment, he gave interviews to media as a “FLARE Spokesperson”. At the organized storming of the capitol by leftist protesters, he whipped up the mob with a “pep talk” and provided them with instructions for the event. Notably, he was interviewed by Don Lemon who has since faced federal charges for a similar storming of a Church in Minnesota.
