🌲- Opinion: I feel this needs to be reiterated and emphasized again. In my personal opinion, the Turkish hordes have always been natural enemies of the Levantines. It is also important to point out that Turks, being overwhelmingly Muslim, have persecuted us Christian minorities for centuries. There is no scenario now or in the future where a Turkish Muslim is likely to be our ally. Remember that they hate us and want us subjugated once again. Turkey will never be truly "secular." The dream of Atatürk and his ideas have had little to no effect on the Turkish collective unconscious. They will always lean toward Ottomanism and conquest, because this people knows only violence. Remember the Armenian genocide, Remember Kafno and Sayfo, and Remember the suffering of our Greek brethren.

That is why we should not be cheering that Turkey is gaining such a monumental influence in the region, what is happening in the region is extremely dangerous. Now that the Kurds have disarmed and now that Bachar has fell, there is no-one standing in the face of the turks to stop them for expanding their sphere of influence further. Do not undermine what is going on. The Ottoman times must not return.
