🇾🇪/🇮🇱 The IDF says the ballistic missile fired at Israel this morning was launched from Yemen.

They add that Interceptor missiles were launched, and imply they failed. They are investigating.

They also opened an investigation on why they couldn't detect the missile beforehand and why they failed to intercept it. It had the ability to hit something and impact, as they failed to foil it.

These sites are far from the border area, and not activated yet. So here is the rationale:

Step #1: Engage Hezbullah in the border area
Step #2: However, whenever there is ground invasion, push Hezbullah from the border area. This is doable, for a few kms, as some areas are not defendable
Step #3: Enjoy the success of previous attacks on launch sites destroyed before the ground invasion, and that would have been used by Hezbullah as a second line of fire, after they retreat from the border area.

That's the plan. How successful or not, is a totally different topic.
