🇮🇱/🇱🇧 Insight into Israel's Preparation for the Attack

– If Hezbollah's launch preparations are detected in Israel ahead of time—the IDF intends to act to thwart the attack in advance and hit the launchers before they fire. But on the other hand, they are also preparing for the possibility that there will be no intelligence of the operation in advance.

– The Israeli security establishment believes that launching a "preemptive strike" against Hezbollah is not the right thing at this time—the conditions are very suboptimal. International legitimacy is at high time low, the element of surprise is lacking, and Hezbullah is well prepared. The IDF is busy fighting in the Gaza Strip with limited personnel available for another front.

– The Israeli response to Iran and Hezbullah will depend, to a large extent, on two parameters—the extent of the damage and casualties in Israel. The intensity of the attack (the amount of firepower used), and how many targets are successfully hit also fall under the above parameters.

In Israel, they say they will judge events according to what actually happens, and will decide on a retaliation accordingly.

There is an effort to gather as many international partners as possible to the form an international coalition, in terms of support, backing, and even action to help defend Israel.

🥀 Hezbullah mourns the martyrdom of Hassan Fares Jeshe in his own hometown, likely back from work, who was martyred in an Israeli targeted assassination.

He was born in 1987. Recently there has been a rise of assassinations when fighters are coming back home to their villages from the front.

He is Hezbullah's 400th martyr in this battle. The Israeli army claims he is a commander in the anti-tank units.

🥀 In the attack, the Lebanese civilian Mohammad Shomar was murdered by the Israeli army.

In the footage it shows how cars and other civilians were in proximity of the attack.

📹 Hezbullah released footage of their attack on one of two parked Israeli army armored personnel carriers hidden behind a hill near Rwaysat al-Alam base.

It's unclear if they were placed there as a decoy, unlikely as there isn't a line of sight of them from Lebanon.

No soldiers were spotted nearby.

The Israeli army acknowledges the event, says they failed to intercept any of the drones despite their attempts.

No reports of casualties.

📹 In reponse to the attacks and assassinations in Mayfadoun (yesterday) and Jwaya (today), Hezbullah announced attacking Ein Zeitim base where the Northern Command HQ is located with rockets.

📹 The Israeli army released footage of their attack on Al-Rayhan Sojod area, claiming they attacked the launch site of suicide drones used in the attack on the Golan Heights.

They want us to believe the drones that they couldn't track and intercept, they found their launch site and attacked it.

The attack earlier in Al-Mansori targeted a cement block factory. No casualties

🇮🇱/🇱🇧 Israeli officials think the target for Hezbullah's response could be the IDF headquarters in the center of Tel Aviv or the Mossad headquarters and other key intelligence bases in northern Tel Aviv.

Israel told the U.S. that if Hezbullah harms Israeli civilians as part of its retaliation for the assassination of its top military commander, the IDF's response would be disproportionate.

Attacking Tel Aviv is very likely yes, for the simple reason of how Hezbullah obliged itself to a military equation of Beirut for Tel Aviv.

If this was true in 2013 (in a speech), it is true today. Hezbullah has 3 things to retaliate for, with an eye-to-eye:

1- Murder of its top brilliant commander Foaud Shokor
2- Murder of women and children
3- Attacking Beirut and destroying a building

But in reality how, when, where and what, only time can tell soon or late.
