Security forces busted a large weapon warehouse owned by the head of Qorqof municipality, Yehya al-Rifai.

This afternoon, two settlers were killed in a shooting targeting an Israeli-owned car on the Route 60 highway in the town of Huwara, West Bank. The settlers were residents of the the Har Bracha settlement. The shooter is still at large.

Hillel Yaniv (22) and his brother Yagel (19) were killed in a Palestinian operation on 26 Feb.
⚔ IDF and Hamodia News said that Hillel was a staff sergeant in the Navy's 916th Patrol Boat Squadron, a unit in Ashdod that enforces the Gaza blockade; he was sent to a yeshiva in Kiryat Shmona (Lebanon's border) under the Hesder program—combining Talmudic studies with military service. The yeshiva's motto is “a book and a sword” [Safra veSaifa]. As for Yagel, he was “set to service in a combat unit”.

The Yaniv live in the settlement of Har Brakha, illegal under international law, just south of Nablus (West Bank). Founded in 1983 after confiscating the land of nearby Palestinian villages, it is a hotbed for Jewish terror group Hilltop Youth.

⋯ Aftermath of the arson by revengeful Israeli settlers in Huwara yesterday.
A 37-year-old Palestinian was killed during the lynching attack. Two other people were shot and wounded, a third person was stabbed and a fourth was beaten with an iron bar, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent.

His family belonged to "Young Israel of West Hartford"; he attended Modern Orthodox schools. He deferred enlistment in the US military, to spend a year in Israel. That time in Israel stretched beyond a year, and he enlisted instead in the IDF. He then returned to the USA in 2018 to attend Columbia University, where he graduated in 2022. (Times of Israel)

💸 Lebanon's supermarkets partially move to dollar pricing
Starting tomorrow, 1 March, supermarkets will be required to price their dollar-supplied goods in dollars. The caretaker-minister of economy, Amin Salam, explained the decision today, as quoted by Bint Jbeil:
«The financial system of the past is over and the last rings of the structure have fallen. (...) I've resisted the issue of dollar pricing for a year and six months, but today I cannot leave [the Lebanese] dependent on chaos and randomness [after the rapid depreciation of the lira]. This measure will begin to be applied tomorrow. Our goal is to protect the citizens by knowing the real prices of goods inside the supermarket.»
Customers can pay in the currency of their choice. The dollar-to-lira exchange rate must be prominently displayed at the store entrances.
