Behind the scenes, Netanyahu has expressed frustration that Mossad’s promises to foment revolt in Iran have not materialized.

In one meeting, the PM vented that Trump might decide to end the war any day & that Mossad’s operations had yet to bear fruit

U.S. troops may well take Kharg Island, only to endure ballistic-missile strikes, drone attacks, and petrochemical smoke, all without a reliable means of obtaining logistical support - The Atlantic
πŸ‘44πŸ‘€5
The operation would likely take longer than 15 days, which is about how long an expeditionary unit can operate without logistical support. Kharg is farβ€”140 milesβ€”from American assets in Kuwait City, but very close to Iran’s coast.

The United States could probably take Kharg Island relatively quickly. But holding it would be much more difficult and could turn deadly. Iran might order its forces to set the oil facilities there on fire, much as Saddam Hussein did with Kuwait’s oil fields in the Gulf War

❗️Israeli sources revealed that several Israeli soldiers were exposed to a carcinogenic substance inside a military facility in the central region, as a result of damage to the building caused by ongoing attacks by Hezbullah and Iran against various targets.

Israeli Army Radio writer Ofek Neuberger stated that the soldiers were exposed to asbestos for several days while performing their duties at the damaged facility.

In a tweet on the Army Radio X account, he added that the soldiers were forced to sort documents and guard the site near the toxic substance without proper protective equipment.

Even after the equipment was removed, the soldiers remained near the building for an additional period without adequate protection.

No official comment has been issued by the Israeli authorities, who maintain strict censorship and a broad blackout regarding their losses resulting from missiles and drones launched by Iran or Hezbullah.

Lots of noise on the Lebanese border area, but the closest to truth is that an Israeli vehicle (possible a rocket launcher) flipped on the road injuring a few soldiers

❗️Iran's Foreign Ministry says there are no talks with Washington and accuses Trump of buying time while regional de-escalation efforts go on.

A bluff by either sides or no, this is the first real tangible offramp for this war to end.

Israel and the U.S failed by going all in and not toppling the regime, strengthening its hold on the country's future and ensuring they are less afraid from engagement after they suffered loss of detterence due to the so-called "strategic patience"

At the same time the U.S and Israel damaged Iran's industries enough to reduce the size of the Iranian threat, engaging it in a very hard process to rebuild both industry and military under very harsh existing sanctions

Someone is pissed

❗️IDF: Initial report- The IDF is currently conducting strikes on Iranian terror regime targets in the heart of Tehran.

✍ BTW despite what I said above, the offramp will not necessary be successful because so far, the Marines and the U.S ships do not show any signs of slowing down at all.

They are still heading towards the war in Iran. This offramp? Might end up being only how Trump saves face to not attack electricity after his stupid statement and threat.

Finally, it's good that the Omani MFA clearly said "this war was not of Iran's making". It indeed wasn't, it is a forced war on the country

Exactly as Israel's is on Lebanon, no matter what anyone says.

The crazy part, expected with the corrupt Trump who obsessed about the markets, he said so to end this week's market losses and make it profitable again

And in 5 days? What happens? Opsy, markets close and he can mess up as much as he want
