Despite Lebanon asking for peace talks with Israel for the first time after the civil war (1975-1990), Israel has informed Lebanon it is not interested

Lebanese Forces party [LF] member Wahbi Qatisha: "I'm a soldier and an officer... I was in the South and I know... The Israelis wanted to leave a long time ago. They wondered what are we were doing here, so they withdrew."

MP Nadim Gemayel:

"Those fighting in southern Lebanon are not Lebanese. The problem isn't between Lebanon and Israel!"

MP Mark Dao:

"I demand that the Lebanese army disarm and dismantle this organization [Hezbullah], because if it doesn't, the Israelis will invade, and the Syrians will become emboldened...and everyone will have to go and protect themselves"

🗣 MP Nadim Gemayel:

If we want to live with the Israelis and have secure borders with them, no one should interfere in each other's borders or affairs, and we should at least return to the Armistice Agreement.

🗣 MP Mark Daou:

I should expect that today there be hundreds of Hezbullah members in prison, those working in security or the military.

That way, we'll go into negotiations [with Israel] and tell them we're capable of controlling Lebanese territory.

American officials tell allies that the US will probably be forced to launch a ground operation to capture Iran's Kharg Island, according to two sources familiar with the matter - I24 News

UAE’s Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed calls Iran “terrorists”, while out at former French Ambassador to Washington, Gérard Araud, for criticizing the UAE’s growing dependence on the United States for its security.

The U.S. and Israel expected that their attacks would spark a mass uprising in Iran and quickly bring down the government, but that hasn’t happened.

Intelligence officials had already doubted this strategy, and other ideas like using Kurdish forces were also dropped.

For now, the most likely outcome is that the current regime stays in power.

❗️The ballistic missile Iran launched at northern Israel half an hour ago apparently struck Lebanese territory, according to military assessments.

It apparently marks the first time that an Iranian ballistic missile has hit Lebanon during the current war.

It is unclear if Iran was aiming for Israeli troops in southern Lebanon or for a target in Israel and missed.

All it takes is one successful hit, no warning and no AD.

Just one hit

The Israeli army acknowledged 7 injuries today in south Lebanon, with only one related to Hezbullah's FPVs or suicide drone attacks on their grouping.

The rest? They claim are all work-related incidents and safety violations.

The total number of soldiers injured in Lebanon is 48, a number only today was made public. They didn't report those other "light" injuries from previous days

Joe Kent warned against escalating further—especially plans involving Kharg Island, Iran’s key oil hub.

He argued that sending U.S. troops there would be a major mistake:

“It would essentially be giving Iran a bunch of hostages on an island that they could barrage with drones and missiles.”
