⭕️ Hezbullah released footage of their attack on Ayelet Hashahar settlement in northern occupied Palestine on 17 August.

The attack was in response to the murder of Syrian civilians in Lebanon.

✍ Some general thoughts:

1- After the murder of Imad Moghnieh, Hezbullah attempted discreetly to attack Israeli targets in Europe but failed due to a Mossad infiltration at a senior level. The officials were arrested in an operation in 2009-2010

These two officials are rumored to have been behind the failure to retaliate for Imad.

2- A suicide operation was successful in 2012, never taken credit for, and this was the last known attempt.

3- The attack tonight happens on the eve of the announcement of failure of the negotiations for a ceasefire in Gaza

4- The attack failed, unfortunately, and as I joked with a friend tonight, God is with the Jews.

5- The Iranian retaliation for the Israeli attack in Tehran was likely delayed because of the 40th day anniversary of Ashoura, and they don't want to sabotage flights over Iraq until it's done

6- Hezbullah's retaliation to the murder of Sayyed Foad Shokour was likely multi-layered, a covert and overt attack.

7- The attack, had it been successful, might have been the opening of the show.

8- God knows better, how and why, but also what will unfold.

🇮🇱/🇱🇧 On this day, 18-19 August 2006, elite IDF unit, Sayeret Metkal, disguised with Lebanese army clothes and using Lebanese army issued Humvees landed in the outskirts of Afka village northern Lebanon.

The purpose was to deploy behind enemy lines against Hezbullah in Boday village, for an undisclosed sabotage or kidnapping operation.

The operation came just 5 days after the end of the Lebanese second war on 14 August 2006.

While on the move, the IDF unit fell into a Hezbullah ambush, where two were killed including a very senior commander. No Hezbullah casualties took place.

What's special about this commander, is that the IDF didn't reveal yet his photo, Lieutenant colonel Emmanuel Yehuda Moreno.

His profile is secret, his operations are secret, and everything about him is secret.

1- The settlement of Eilet Hashahar was targeted for the first time with Katyusha rockets.

⭕️ Hezbullah foiled an Israeli force near the border area at Hadb Aita from advancing to the zone, firing rockets and artillery.

A similar incident happened months ago, however they were attacked with an IED. Several Israeli soldiers were injured.

📸 The alerts are focused on the coastal area, namely Nahariyah city

📹 There was only one attempted interception. No reports of impacts.

⭕️ A new set of rocket sirens in the Zar'it, Shomera, and Shtula

📄 There are possible Israeli casualties in the drone attack in the direction of Ya'ra.

Recently most casualties are not on the frontline, as soldiers are well hidden or evacuated, but rather deeper when they are still positioned in regular bases.

🌹 For the first time in 18 years, Hamas and Islamic Jihad take credit for yesterday's attempted martyrdom attack on Tel Aviv

They announce that they are back on this holy track, as long as Israel continues to murder civilians and assassinate leadership.

📹 Overnight, the Israeli army attacked Aita al-Shaab, Biet leaf and Hula village twice.

In the latter, two rose to the heavens as martyrs.

📸 The U.S. secretary of state Blinken met during his visit to Israel the prime minister and defense minister, to discuss the ongoing efforts to end the war in Gaza and how Washington is ready to defend Israel against Iran and Hezbullah.

📹 CCTV footage was released of the martyrdom attack yesterday in Tel Aviv.

The Israeli security established was not able to identify the attacker yet, is unaware who he is and from where he came, and is trying to find evidence to follow.

🇮🇱/🇱🇧 The General Staff Forum met on preparations for the Northern Front was held day, led by Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, with the participation of many senior commanders.

Such meetings are important, because during them decisions are conveyed between the army branches and leadership

Earlier today, media claimed that the IDF is ready to start a campaign in Lebanon just 1 minute after being given the orders.

🇱🇧/🇮🇱 Hebrew media: Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has ordered the IDF to call back to duty reservists who were previously exempted due to personnel reductions.

The IDF in a joint statement with the Defense Ministry says the move comes following a new assessment and "the scope of the activities of the standing army and reserve forces, and as part of a process planned by the IDF to increase the reserve of service members."

The IDF says it has begun to call relevant Israelis who served in critical roles, and those who are fit to return to serve as reservists will do so "according to the operational need."
