🗣️ Israel claims to have completed the preparations for war with Lebanon
Chief of the IDF Northern Command, Maj. Gen. Ori Gordin, speaking at a ceremony marking 18 years since the Second Lebanon War, says the military is prepared to face the Hezbollah terror group once more.
"Hezbollah has suffered severe blows. About 420 terrorists and senior operatives were eliminated. The terror infrastructure built over the years has been destroyed and is attacked every day. We have been doing this for eight months, with the understanding that this time too, like then 18 years ago, we have no choice but to continue fighting, together, until the mission is completed," he says.

I am sure they will be able to face any task against the Hezbollah terror organization. We are prepared and ready, and when we will be ordered, the enemy will meet a strong and ready army," Gordin continues.

🔶️ U.S. officials told Axios the Biden administration told Israel it doesn't think "a limited war" in Lebanon or a "small regional war" is a realistic option because it will be difficult to prevent it from widening and spinning out of control.
🔶️ The Biden administration warned Israel that a ground invasion of Lebanon, even if it is only in the areas close to the border, would likely push Iran to intervene, U.S. and Israeli officials said.
🔶️ One scenario the administration raised with Israel is that Lebanon could be flooded with militants from pro-Iranian militias in Syria, Iraq and even Yemen who would want to join the fighting.
🔶️ A senior IDF official said that the situation has been escalating since May because Hezbollah conducted more successful drone attacks against Israeli targets that weren't intercepted.
🔶️ At the same time, Hezbollah started launching "Burkan" rockets with 1,000-pound to 2,000-pound warheads that caused significant damage to IDF bases along the border.
🔶️ No decisions were made in the war Cabinet meeting, but the IDF presented several options for expanding the fighting, including a ground invasion aimed at pushing Hezbollah's elite Radwan force away from the border, the IDF official said.

📝 As I reported this morning, that what might have happened is a direct impact in the launcher without the explosion of the warhead.
With the kinetic force, damage happened, taking it out of service, but not enough for catastrophic explosion.
This happened once before, with the first few public uses of this spectacular weapon, where a Radar Dome was attacked, penetrated, but didn't explode.
Then I was right about the reasoning, the only error was that it should have exploded and the tarp blown off. Damage to the equipment under it happened surely due to the kinetic force.
📝 This is with the assumption it was not a decoy system with inert missiles.
