France screens the IDF's propaganda movie, amid diplomatic revolt

The French National Assembly has screened on 14 ⁠Nov the movie based on Hamas' GoPro footage. Exiting the theater, MP ⁠Meyer Habib had some crocodile tears: “[The Jews] are my people, they are my brethren”, “Israel must destroy these barbarians, must destroy these savages”.

On 13 ⁠Nov, Le Figaro reported that a dozen French ambassadors sent an “unprecedented” letter to their ministry and to the Élysée, accusing President Macron of undoing decades of balanced policy in the Arab world. “We are sometimes accused of complicity in genocide. [...] Our interlocutors find we are betraying ourselves, our discourse based on humanism is in contradiction with our new approach.”

It is worth noting France's Parliament Speaker Yaël Braun-Pivet and Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne are both Polish Jews. President Macron's secretary-general, Alexis Kohler, is also Jewish.

Please respect us and stop looking pathetic. You found less weapons than what a group (of 5-12) of soldiers is assigned with in what you described as a major "terrorist" HQ that hosted the leadership.

The Israeli army genuinely failed to present anything but theatrics in all hospitals they entered. Not a single valuable asset has been found yet or a worthy arms cache.

But honestly? My favourite is the tunnel and office that hosted training equipment of wooden Aks, some fake RPGs, and training IEDs.

And yes, they were marked in blue obviously, a common standard in all militaries.

Certainly, I understand the capabilities and might of the Israeli army, but let's be honest, what they achieved in destroying Gaza, any army in the world is capable of. The Syrian for example in most of its battles.

It's easy to destroy things with enough fire power. That's literally what makes state-actors ... Classical armies.

🗣️ According to Israeli media, the governemnt is in negotiations with settlers to return them back home in about a month, to settlements only 4-7 km away from Gaza.

Will Israel achieve its victory then and will it successfully eliminate the rocket threat? Or did Hamas run out of enough rockets to amount to a credible threat....only time will tell.

UNSC adopts resolution ‘calling for’ but not ‘demanding’ a pause in Gaza

The United Nations Security Council has adopted Malta's draft resolution that “calls for urgent and extended humanitarian pauses and corridors” in Gaza, “calls for the immediate and unconditional release of hostages”, and also “demands that all parties comply with their obligations under international law”. The vote was 12–0 with the US, UK, and Russia abstaining. Russia proposed an amendment for a durable “humanitarian truce leading to a cessation of hostilities” that was rejected.

The final wording reportedly watered down language from a “demand” to a simple “call” for a pause.
