🔴 IDF takes credit for one airstrike killing 5 ⁠children in Jabalia

⁠As reported today by Haaretz (16 ⁠August), Israeli officials admitted that IDF is responsible for an airstrike on 7 ⁠August that targeted Jabalia's refugee camp in Gaza, in the area of Al-Faluja Cemetery. It resulted in the death of 5 ⁠children.

This massacre is different from the one on 6 ⁠August in Jabalia, that Israel still blames on a PIJ rocket misfire. We reported about the fake news (read here).

Friendly ‘open fire’ kills IDF soldier

Overnight, an Israeli army unit shot and killed another soldier from the same unit, mistaking him for a Palestinian.

The soldiers followed the “open-fire policy” that is implemented by the security establishment to extrajudicially kill Palestinians.

On this day, 16 August 1999, IDF assassinated Ali Hasan Dieb "Abu Hasan Salameh".

He was an ex-Fatah commander, alongside Imad Moghnieh, and later a Hezbullah commander who was tasked with the Palestinian file of arms smuggling and armed resistance inside Palestine.
