After reaching a record high rate of 38,000 LBP/USD, the exchange rate decreased sharply back to 32,000 LBP after the central bank governor signed a decree to sell USD at Sayrafa rate.

Sayrafa rate is an imaginary rate set by the central bank. It is currently equal to 24,000 LBP
