Over 280 Palestinians in Jerusalem's Al-Tour neighborhood are threatened with forced displacement and house demolition, under the pretext of illegal building. It is part of the project of the βAmerican Roadβ, one of Israel's largest project in the city aimed to confiscate 45 β dunums of Al-Tour [45,000 β mΒ²]. At the same time, the occupation authorities have been building tens of thousands of housing units for Jews since the 1980s, approving yet again on 18 β January 2022 a plan for 1,465 new units in East Jerusalem.
