Zaarour confirmed, according to the reports, that she has deposited copies of the evidence and documents with multiple authorities, which she intends to release should she be harmed.

The Lebanese response centers on the Ramada hotel incident in Beirut, where Iranian nationals killed in an Israeli strike were presented by Tehran as diplomats. Beirut’s reply disputes parts of that narrative, saying Iran’s embassy did not coordinate their movement to the hotel with Lebanon’s Foreign Ministry, and questioning whether all of those killed were officially registered as diplomats.

Lebanon is effectively pushing back against the idea that Iranian personnel operating in Beirut can be treated as protected diplomats if they were not properly registered, while also raising concerns over IRGC-linked activity and violations of the Vienna Convention inside Lebanon.
