It is very amusing to read some media outlets belonging to the Irano-sphere because if one relied only on them, one would conclude that the USA is getting its rear kicked. They typically use formats that fit their Don Quixotian narrative of glorious victorious resistance.
The reality, however, is very different; the USA has given Iran a choice, either (1) a negotiated deal that necessarily leads to the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, or (2) face military escalation in the form of either the destruction of Iran's infrastructure or ground operations to secure the Iranian coast and islands adjacent to the Strait of Hormuz, or both.
At the same time, Iran is not Iraq; they have a very different mentality. The Islamic Republic was founded on resisting American influence and "subjugation" of the Iranian people that the proponents have experienced in the 20th century. As such, when they say that they have been preparing for this war for 50 years, believe them; Islamic Republic Iran was created specifically to counter the US and Israel.
