Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are taking significant steps toward deeper involvement in operations against Iran, following repeated Iranian attacks on Gulf energy infrastructure and cities, according to a Wall Street Journal report.

Saudi Arabia has agreed to allow U.S. forces to use King Fahd Air Base, while Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is reportedly close to deciding on direct participation to re-establish deterrence. The UAE has cracked down on Iranian-linked assets, including shutting down associated institutions.
