⭐️ Prepositions with Late (as an adjective) ⭐️

📗Late for something that starts or due to take place at a set time: late for an appointment, late for work, late for school. 'We shall have to hurry, or we shall be late for the bus.' Late at a place one should reach by a certain time: e.g. late at the office, late at the bus stop. Late in doing something: 'The guests were late in arriving', 'We were late in setting off', 'I was late in sending my reply to this letter'.

📕In colloquial English there are two developments from this last construction.
🔺(a) In may be omitted before the gerund: 'The bus is late arriving.' 'I was late getting up this morning.'
🔺(b) If the gerund is a transitive one, in+the gerund may be replaced by with: 'We were late with lunch today' (i.e. late in having lunch) 'The B.B.C. are not often late with the news' (i.e. late in broadcasting the news).

📙When late means 'formely', it is followed by of to indicate the former place of residence, or some institution or organisation with which the person was associated: 'Eliza Smith, late of this parish,; 'Arthur Jone Brown, late of Barchester' ;'William James Burton, late of the Indian Civil Service'.

📒Of late: lately; recently. 'Her health seems to have improved considerably of late'.

افعال کمکی بین فاعل و فعل اصلی استفاده میشن.
افعال کمکی به تنهایی معنی ندارن.
مثلا:I am من هستم
خب من چی هستم؟معلوم نیست, پس بی معنیه و نیاز به یک فعل اصلی داره.
و اینکه از خود این افعال برای سوالی کردن جمله استفاده میشه.
مثال:I am a tourist.
حالا سوالی میکنیم:Am I a tourist?
Does برای she/he/it استفاده میشه
(سوم شخص مفرد )
Do برای تمامی اشخاص بجز she/he/it استفاده میشه
مثال: I write this email.
Do I write this email?
She tells me.
Does she tell me?
She learned that.
Did she learn that?
I/you/we/they don't know about the game.
She/he/it doesn't work for the company.
حالا سوالی میکنیم:
Don't I/you/we/they know about the game?
Does She/he/it work for the company?
You have a great time.
Do you have a great time?
برای she /he/it از has استفاده میشه.
مثال: She/he/it has a lot of fun.
اما وقتی سوالی بشن have استفاده میکنیم:
Does she/he/it have a lot of fun?
Had برای زمان گذشته است.
I had a chance to win.
برای سوالی زمان گذشته از فعل کمکی did استفاده میکنیم.
Did I have a chance to win?
نکته:فعل had درجملات سوالی برای تمامی اشخاص به have تغییر میکنه و از فعل کمکی did در اول جمله سوالی استفاده میشه.

💠 تفاوت بین "I'm in/at/on" و کاربردهای آنها.

💜 معمولا وقتی در جا و مکانی فیزیکی هستیم از in استفاده میکنیم:

💜 حرف at هم کمک میکنه تا بگیم در حال حاضر کجاییم و تفاوتش با in در اینه که از at بیشتر برای مکان های فیزیکی عمومی تر (general) استفاده میشه:

Rent و Hire و Lease

🔴کلمه to rent به معنای

اجاره کردن خانه یا آپارتمان (در لهجه آمریکایی‚ این واژه برای کرایه ماشین و تجهیزات برقی نیز مورد استفاده قرار میگیرد.)

✳️ Rent is used to talk about paying to live in or use a building that is owned by someone else.

✳️ In American English, you also “rent a car” or “electrical equipment”.

🔹We rented an apartment together.

ما با هم یک آپارتمان اجاره کردیم.

🔹Did you know you can rent a fax machine from the telephone company?

آیا میدانستی که میتوان دستگاه فکس از شرکت مخابرات کرایه کرد.


🔴کلمه ی to hire به معنای

کرایه کردن چیزی برای مدت کوتاه ( با معنی دوم rent مترادف است).

✳️ to pay money to borrow something for a short period of time [= rent American English].

🔹The best way to explore the island is to hire a car.

بهترین راه برای گشت و گذار در جزیره کرایه کردن ماشین است.


🔴کلمه ی to lease به معنای

اجاره کردن ساختمان‚ ماشین یا تجهیزات برای مدت طولانی و برای استفاده تجاری بکار میرود.

✳️ It is used to talk about renting buildings, cars, or equipment over a long period of time, especially for business use.

🔹The building is leased to a health club.

این ساختمان به باشگاه ورزشی اجاره داده شده است.


❗️نکته: میتوان نتیجه گرفت که واژه rent برای اجاره ساختمان (خانه یا آپارتمان) بکار میرود و اگر از این مکان بصورت تجاری و به مدت طولانی استفاده شود باید از واژه lease استفاده کنیم. معنی دوم rent با واژه hire که برای کرایه چیزی به مدت کوتاه استفاده میشود یکسان است
