When someone says :

it’s a way of saying that they don't want to do a particular thing because they know it's not good, but they can't stop themselves from doing it. 
💥وقتی کسی این اصطلاح رو بکار میبره، منظورش اینه که نمیخواد کاری رو انجام بده که خودش هم میدونه کار خوبی نیست، اما نمیتونه یعنی دست خودش نیست،

People use this expression when they are having trouble breaking a habit, like biting their fingernails or eating too much sugar
💥مثلا برای ترک یه عادت بد مثل ناخن خوردن یا مصرف زیاد شیرینی ها و مواد قندی


They also use it when something is external and beyond their control.
