Ayesha R.A. said, amongst the first things that were revealed were about Paradise and the Fire. When the people embraced Islam, the Verses regarding legal and illegal things were revealed. If the first thing to be revealed was: 'Do not drink alcoholic drinks.' people would have said, 'We will never leave alcoholic drinks,' and if there had been revealed, 'Do not commit illegal sexual intercourse, 'they would have said, 'We will never give up illegal sexual intercourse.'

From this we understand that the Love of Paradise, the Fear of Hell Fire and the thought of the Day of Judgement is what will keep us away from sins and motivate us to do more righteous deeds.

In this course we will have 5 classes each about Heaven & Hell, the people there in and deeds that can help us to get to Paradise and those that can help us to be saved from the Hell Fire.

How much do we know about Heaven and Hell?

In Quran and Sunnah, the soil, the bricks, the food, the clothes, the markets of Paradise are all described and similarly the vastness, the terrors, the fire, the cries of Hell are all described.

How does having knowledge about Heaven & Hell help?
If we know the great rewards that Allah has promised His righteous slaves it will be easier for us to let go of the temporary pleasures of this world for the eternal bliss. It would motivate us to do good so we are able to get there.
If we know of the horrifying punishments and their reasons we would do everything to stay away from it.
