THE GRAVE

• The first stage of the life in the Hereafter.

• The first time we will be questioned.

• The first judgment whether we are punished or blessed.

The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said: ‘The grave is the first of the stages of the Hereafter; whoever is saved from it, whatever comes afterwards will be easier for him, but if he is not saved from it, what comes afterwards will be worse for him.

Our departure from this world is imminent. It is but a transitory place, a mere passage to our permanent abode, while the Hereafter is for eternity – beginning with life in the grave.

So one preparing for the Hereafter should prepare for this first stage.

In this course, we will study the Three Questions that will be asked in the Grave and who would be able to answer them right. And we will learn about the blessings and punishments in the Grave based on Quran & Sunnah as per the understanding of the Sahaba and those who followed them.

There are two days and two nights the likes of which no one has ever heard of before: the Day on which you will receive the news about Allâh the Exalted: whether you will receive His punishment or His mercy, the Day you will be given your book (of deeds): either in your right hand or your left, that [first] night you will spend alone in your grave, a night like no other you have spent, and that night on the morning of which will be the Day of Resurrection, after which there will be no more night.

Learning about *The Grave* helps us to remember Death and the afterlife where we will be questioned and we are to answer about each and every thing that we have done.
