بر اساس جدیدترین گزارش ها تلگرام ظاهرا در حال کار روی قابلیت جدیدی است که به کاربران کمک می‌کند از اکانت‌های خود محافظت کنند. این قابلیت اجازه خواهد داد تا اکانت خود را به یک آدرس ایمیل وصل کنید و هر بار که می‌خواهید وارد دستگاه شوید، برای تایید حساب خود از آن کمک بگیرید.
الساندرو پالوزی توسعه‌دهنده و متخصص مهندسی معکوس اپلیکیشن‌ها در پستی نشان داده که وقتی ایمیل خود را وارد کردید، تلگرام می‌گوید این پیام‌رسان در هنگام لاگین کردن به برنامه از روی دستگاه‌های جدید، هر بار از این آدرس استفاده خواهد کرد. در این اسکرین شات پیداست که امکان تغییر آدرس ایمیل هم وجود دارد .
