المستمرة . فمن الخطأ أن تقول :

هناك صفات أخري لا تستخدم معam / is / are being مثل :

** وفيما يلي الصفات التي يمكن استخدامها مع am / is / are being :

Conditional Senten

تتكون الجمل الشرطية من جزئين. جزء يبتدأ بكلمة

If  لو أو إذا
و جزء ثاني يحمل النتيجة التي ممكن أن تحصل إذا توفر الشرط الموجود في 
مثلا 
الجزء الأول
.: If I have time tomorrow , I'll call you
لو عندي وقت غدا سأتصل بك
وتنقسم الجمل الشرطية إلى ثلاثة أنواع

Conditional type 3


CONDITIONAL TYPE 1

 

If + Simple present ------→ simple future

Example: If I have time [Simple Present] , I 'll visit you [Simple Future]

نستخدم هذا النوع إذا كان الشرط و النتيجة المتوقعة قابلين للتحقيق.
في هذا المثال 
( لو عندي وقت سأزورك)
الشرط و النتيجة قابلين للتحقيق
في المضارع البسيط

نلاحظ أن الفعل في الجزء الذي يبتدأ ب

if

و الفعل في الجزء الثاني في المستقبل
يمكننا أن نعكس مواقع الجزء الأول و الجزء الثاني و يبقى المعنى هو نفسه فنقول:
I 'll visit you , If I have time
تذكير : I will = I'll I will not = I won't

CONDITIONAL TYPE 2
If + simple past ------→ would + infinitive(without to )

Example: If I had a plane [Simple Past] I would travel all around the world [would + infinitive].

نستخدم هذا النوع إذا كان الشرط و النتيجة المتوقعة 
غير قابلين للتحقيق أو أن نسبة تحقيقهما ضئيلة جدا.

في هذا المثال:
لو عندي طائرة سأسافرحول العالم
الشرط و النتيجة يصعب تحقيقهما

نلاحظ أن الفعل في الجزء الاول

و الفعل في الجزء الثاني يبدأ ب

Would + infinitive
يمكننا أن نعكس مواقع الجزء الأول و الجزء الثاني و يبقى المعنى هو نفسه فنقول:

I would travel all around the world , If I had a plane 
  would= 'd :تذكير

 

CONDITIONAL TYPE 3
If + past perfect ------→ would have +past participle

Example: If you had asked me [past perfect] , I would have helped you [would have + past participle].

لو طلبت مني المساعدة، لساعدتك

 

نستخدم هذا النوع لنتحسر عن شيء ما كان ليحصل لو توفرت ظروف معينة

في هذا المثال:
لو طلبت مني المساعدة لساعدتك
لكنك لم تطلب مني المساعدة فلم أساعدك

 ( past perfect)

في الماضي التام

   نلاحظ أن الفعل في الجزء الذي يبتدأ ب

 if

و الفعل في الجزء الثاني يبدأ ب

 would have + past participle

The Cookie Thief

A woman was waiting at an airport one night,
With several long hours before her flight.
She hunted for a book in the airport shop,
Bought a bag of cookies and found a place to drop.

She was engrossed in her book, but happened to see,
That the man beside her, as bold as could be,
Grabbed a cookie or two from the bag between,
Which she tried to ignore, to avoid a scene.

She read, munched cookies, and watched the clock,
As the gutsy “cookie thief” diminished her stock.
She was getting more irritated as the minutes ticked by,
Thinking, “If I wasn’t so nice, I’d blacken his eye!”

With each cookie she took, he took one too.
When only one was left, she wondered what he’d do.
With a smile on his face and a nervous laugh,
He took the last cookie and broke it in half.

He offered her half, as he ate the other.
She snatched it from him and thought, “Oh brother,
This guy has some nerve, and he’s also rude,
Why, he didn’t even show any gratitude!”

She had never known when she had been so galled,
And sighed with relief when her flight was called.
She gathered her belongings and headed for the gate,
Refusing to look back at the “thieving ingrate.”

She boarded the plane and sank in her seat,
Then sought her book, which was almost complete.
As she reached in her baggage, she gasped with surprise.
There was her bag of cookies in front of her eyes!

“If mine are here,” she moaned with despair,
“Then the others were his and he tried to share!”
Too late to apologize, she realized with grief,
That she was the rude تone, the ingrate, the thief!
