Watching the Donald Trump running in 2024 speech reminds me of this clip from The Simpsons.

The whole thing just feels low energy, boring even.

Can't believe I have to say this again but:

90% of DR opinions are the opinions the average Irish person had twenty to thirty years ago.

And if you express these opinions in the right way and if you're normal/not some larping sperg, 70%-80% of people will agree with you.

Don't ruin that.

You don't have to be Professor X to notice the drug trade, human trafficking and God knows what else going on all around you. It's absolutely filthy. In the heart of the capital city, packed with foreigner shops that rarely seem to have a customer, western unions, "language schools", but also many "NGO" and social service offices, asylum/homeless shelters and several police stations. State is obviously in on all of it.
Based on October 2022 data, houses being built is down 14% on this time last year as the cost of materials and interest rates continue to increase. Labour shortages are also an issue with more and more people poised to leave the country in the coming months.

Meanwhile, Ireland's population is forecast to increase by 120,000, or a population increase of 2.5% in 2022.

The government have also stopped releasing press releases on this since July 2022 as the situation continues to deteriorate.

There's no squaring the circle of increasing supply, when your demand for housing continues to climb and climb with no ending in sight.

Over 60 locals gathered outside a former ESB office block on the East Wall Road in Dublin City tonight after a bus load of single young male asylum seekers were seen being dropped off at the building. Some of the locals said they had been told that Ukrainians would be moved in.

On Monday, the Irish Mirror reported that Minister Roderic O'Gorman's Department of Equality was in the latter stages of negotiations to bring the building on stream to house refugees.

The building has the space to house 300 to 400 people.

"It is a pretty modern building so it would be pretty easy to convert that. It could set a precedent that office blocks are a possibility."

However, it's unclear if the Department has sought planning permission.

While temporary protection applicants such as Ukrainians can be housed anywhere, it's not the case for international protection applicants which the men appear to be.

Mattresses for the men were seen being delivered later.

The locals say they are planning a protest tomorrow at 2PM.
The Ukrainian housing problem would end in five minutes if the buses ended up in Dalkey, Killiney, Malahide, Ranelagh, or Howth.

It really is remarkable that there's a World Cup going on and nobody cares in the slightest. It isn't just the woke mumbo-jumbo either, it's what happens when the heart and soul of your nation is ripped out and your country becomes nothing but a zone of economic activity with the same banal values as everywhere else.

Authentic difference was replaced with sameness and they called it diversity.

Our national team doesn't represent us in the same way Rishi Sunak doesn't represent us. It's all just a boring PR exercise, you may as well just watch ads on YouTube. Bobby Charlton came from Ashington, from the pits, and he ended his days drinking in Ashington social club, where he began.
I couldn't name a single player in the England squad today, it just doesn't matter.
Another FF TD coming out against the mass immigration of Ukrainian refugees into Ireland.

This is starting to spread very very quickly now. East Wall was the match. This is becoming the main electoral issue for people right now.

How this develops is another thing altogether, but if you don't get there in time, someone else will.

EastWall-Gate is a huge opportunity for the IFP and National party, and Ireland first.

In the run up to Dec 3rd the entire area should be canvassed to death. Traditionally a working class area with one of those default leaning towards Sinn Fein, this is a chance to capture a few thousand votes by showing the people what sell outs Sinn Fein are, and how they're being buggered in general by the wider Irish uniparty.

Sinn Fein can't make any political capital from this issue because they're globalist traitors on the record as wanting situations like this in East Wall. It would be a pity if an opportunity like this went to waste.

Bit of perspective on choosing a hill to die on. Old ghosts inhabit every hill and old farmyard in this country, when my time comes, i can think of no better company to be in.
There's a bit one minute through this where someone has a Mary Lou McDonald banner and the crowd breaks out in boos yelling at Sinn Fein.

Very interesting. East Wall is part of McDonald's constituency, one she won convincingly in during the February 2020 election.

In light of that Mary Lou McDonald clip, its worth talking about some of the polling data.

For the past 18 months, the polling for the major parties has remained fairly stagnant.

FFG around 17%-20%.
SF around 32%-35%.
GP have collapsed however.

Recently, there are even signs that SF are beginning to decline in popularity.

I thought that was because of the mainstream media/civil servants coming down on them over the previous few weeks, but that clip makes me think are people becoming aware of SF are and what they stand for?

I suppose we'll see in the coming weeks and months.
