πŸ”₯ FREE ACTIVITY

Divide the children into pairs or mini groups, one takes a picture with a shadow and describes it, and the partners try to guess what it is and find the appropriate colour card.

πŸ—£ You can practise simple phrases with beginners:
- It is a girl. She is in the kitchen. She cooks dinner.
- I can see 2 legs and a head.
- The girl has got a guitar.

πŸ€“ With more advanced students work out Present Continuous and phrases for expressing opinion:
- It seems to me that the girl is playing computer games.
- I think the boy is wearing a cap, he is playing with his dog.

✍️ Paintings of unknown artists.
Mix the cards with the shadows, distribute them to the children and provide them with small sheets of paper. Their task is to write 1-2 sentences about the picture without showing it to others. Then the cards can be shuffled and placed on the board/table/floor. Mix the sentences as well. Children take one piece of paper and find the pictures according to the description.

🍼 Bright VOCABULARY JAR is a great idea which will help with recirculation of the studied vocabulary. We put the slips of paper with words or pictures in it. The jar is constantly replenished with new words and expressions.

πŸ“• How to use:
β˜› Great warm-up for any lesson.
Children take a piece of paper from the jar. If it's a word, it has to be read right. If the picture – called. Of course, this should be done correctly, then it can be kept, otherwise it is sent back to the jar.
β˜› Charades.
Can be used at the end of the lesson. One student shows the word, and others have to guess. Who guessed right becomes the leader.
β˜› Definitions.
This activity can be done with more advanced students. The leader has to explain the word, the others guess.

πŸ—½A simple and functional template for teaching β€œPlaces”, revising prepositions of place and, if necessary, drilling giving directions, so that your students can easily talk about their hometown (where the sightseeings/places are located) and even give excursions to tourists.

βœ‚οΈ The file includes several towns (they are all different) or students can create their own projects - "My dream town" in class or at home by cutting and pasting the buildings they like into an empty template and coming up with the names of their towns.

πŸ—£ The students work in pairs or mini groups. They take turns presenting their projects, and then introduce themselves as lost tourists and ask how to get from point A to point B. The rest try to help, giving directions.

🍼 A bottle of fortune is a great tool to use for different activities with different groups and ages. Simple, easy and children like it better than doing the same exercises from a textbook.

πŸ’‘ Possible ways to use:

πŸ‘‰ how we practised How many...? + numbers with 1-2 grades: I put post-its with questions about our classroom on the floor in a circle. The children took turns spinning the bottle, picking a card, reading the question and answering it (e.g. How many chairs can you see? I can see ... chairs.);

πŸ‘‰ how we practised My day + Telling the time with 3-4 grades: I put pairs of cards in a circle (verb + clock with random time). Students spinned the bottle and had to make up true sentences about themselves in Present Simple (affirmative or negative: I don’t brush my teeth at half past three / I go to school at 8 o’clock etc);
