Where or when? Teach your students to distinguish between when and where in the context.

At first, students work independently, then they check the answers in pairs. To consolidate the topic, the same sheet with proven correct answers can be used in the next lesson to practice listening comprehension. Divide the students into pairs, one reads any question without the question word, the other, without looking at the answers, should understand what fits the meaning of when or where. Then they swap roles.

The material can be used as a worksheet or just you may cut sentences into flashcards. The students take one at a time and start the question with the right question word. If the answer is correct, the player keeps the card for himself, if not, it goes back to the pile.

After that, ask the learners to stand up, each takes their cards, finds a pair, asks one question, gets an answer, answers the other's question, and then they go in search of a new pair.
