The 4 seasons

πŸ—£ Simple but effective tasks for discussing and describing β€œSeasons” will encourage your students to talk about their favourite seasons, as well as to explain why they associate certain words with each one.

☝️ First, the students select the appropriate words from each section, then ask them to explain why the others do not fit.
They can describe any time of the year in written form, using association words.

🎨 The file also includes the page – β€œMy favourite season”. The children finish and colour the tree according to their favourite part of the year, then write the words they associate with it and create a short story or text using their key vocabulary.

Bright worksheets will help children figure out who he, she, it are and learn how to use them correctly, replacing the subject with the appropriate pronoun and vice versa.

How to use:

πŸ’‘ Divide the children into pairs. The first player looks at the task, selects a picture and names it, for example: an apple/ a grandma/ a boy/ a book/ a girl/ Helen etc., and their partner (without seeing the pictures) must remember the appropriate pronouns. If the answer is correct, the player earns a point, then they switch roles.

πŸ’‘ In the second task, the leader reads the endings of the sentences, and in the third one, the whole sentences, and the player must listen and add or change the subject to a pronoun.

πŸ”₯ Revise HOUSE vocabulary.

> Option 1.
The students look at the picture, recall the names of objects and write them down in the appropriate columns, and then compare the lists in pairs and talk about their house or the one in the picture, using the key grammar structures - There is/There are, as well as some prepositions of the place: "There is a bookshelf near the sofa. There is a coffee table between 2 armchairs" etc.

> Option 2.
The students look at the picture for 1 minute (more or less), then bend the sheet so that the house is not seen and write those items that they managed to remember. To complicate the task, ask them to add colours or quantity (e.g., a yellow frigde, 2 armchairs, a blue towel etc). Then they compare the results in pairs. The player who has more accurate answers, wins the competition.
