🎲 β—‚Vocabulary game 2in1β–Έ - activity for revising or drilling vocabulary.

πŸ₯ Students throw a die and follow the instructions. In the case of ACT IT OUT, DEFINE IT, DRAW IT, NAME 3 ASSOCIATIONS WITH IT and WRITE IT IN THE AIR, the others must guess this word (all the same can be done with cards). If there are a lot of students in the class, you can divide them into groups, some work with a die, others with cards, then they exchange them and also the vocabulary cards if they are different.

πŸ‘‰ For this game you can use the words learnt during the lesson, during the week or just any list from a specific topic.

πŸ“œ Word list:
- can be prepared by the teacher in advance;
- you can ask each student to write any recently studied words on pieces of paper, post-its or special blank cards;
- you can use words from the VOCABULARY JAR.

🧯 Brave firefighters must rescue a girl from a burning house.
It is a dynamic and exciting game for practicing various topics:
- reading CVC words
- reading silent E
- reading phonics
- irregular verbs
- telling the time
- opposites

How to play:
Divide the students into pairs or mini-groups.
Players take turns. If the students' level differs, it's better that the stronger ones start the game. To reach the attic, players must complete a task (correctly read the words, tell the time, call the forms of irregular verbs (2nd, 3rd, or both), or opposites).

Option 1. Start the timer at the beginning and stop it when a player reaches the girl. Write down the results. Then the other firefighters try their luck. The player, who reaches the top faster than the others, wins the game. If a player makes a mistake or doesn't know the answer, they can skip the word and continue, but 2 penalty seconds are added to their total time.

Seems like a simple task, but so beneficial!
Ask your students to:

✍️ Write as many sentences as they can using these words (then they can share and check each other's sentences).
✍️ Create a sentence in one minute using as many words from the list as possible. The longest and most correct sentence wins.
✍️ Make only negative sentences or questions (for the latter, students can ask each other the questions and answer them).
✍️ Compose sentences in the necessary tense (the students can change verb forms to make it easier).
✍️ Make a short story using as many words from the list as possible.
✍️ This task can also be assigned as homework.

πŸ–Š Do you want to make the most of the remaining 5 minutes at the end of the lesson? Well, this game is not only enjoyable but also educational! It's particularly suitable for students who finish tasks quickly.

πŸ“ Here's how it works: students roll the die, choose one of the three positions, and create sentences based on the given conditions, expressing their creativity. They can write these sentences on sheets of paper or in their notebooks. Afterward, they have the option to share their sentences with their partners or with the entire class.

πŸ‘‰ To avoid repeating squares, you can cover them with tokens/buttons/coins.

🌲 December, gloves, mistletoe, penguins, sleigh, vacations - these are the distinctive features of the most active and sporty, cold and windy, and at the same time cozy time of the year. It's when you want to slide down a hill with the wind in your face or snuggle under the blanket with a good book and hot aromatic tea. What associations do your students have when they hear the word "winter"?

πŸ—£ Give them 3-5 minutes to fill in their hearts, the divide them into pairs or mini groups and encourage them to share why they associate these particular words with winter.

E.g., Winter is outdoor activities because I go skiing and skating everyday with my friends.
❗️ P.S. It's not necessary to come up with associations for every letter, but the more, the better.
