A simple and functional template for teaching “Places”, revising prepositions of place and, if necessary, drilling giving directions, so that your students can easily talk about their hometown (where the sightseeings/places are located) and even give excursions to tourists.

The file includes several towns (they are all different) or students can create their own projects - "My dream town" in class or at home by cutting and pasting the buildings they like into an empty template and coming up with the names of their towns.

The students work in pairs or mini groups. They take turns presenting their projects, and then introduce themselves as lost tourists and ask how to get from point A to point B. The rest try to help, giving directions.

Looking at the shadows, ask your students to guess what the parents packed their children for lunch. Maybe Mary and Max don't even know themselves).

Divide students into pairs.
1. They read the words together, checking and correcting each other.

2. Then they match the words with the numbers.

3. They make up and write sentences using the key phrase "Mary/Max has got .... for lunch."

4. Time to play and practice speaking.
One person describes, the other guesses - Mary has got something orange for lunch. Is it an orange? No, it isn't. Is it a carrot? Yes, it is. Then they switch roles.
