This creative task is suitable for the last lessons of the year or the first ones after the vacations with students of various ages and levels. All they need to do is to complete the sentences by adding their own ideas.

How to use:

- Pair Discussion
Divide the students into pairs and have them discuss their plans for the upcoming year using questions like "Do you want to...?" or "Would you like to...?".

- "Find someone who wants to..."
A mingling activity that not only enhances communicative skills but is also a great way for students to get to know each other better and exchange ideas.

- Collective Planning
Students can create a shared plan or a list of goals for the class/group, that will foster unity and teach them to work together.

The file contains blank templates for students to come up with and write their own New Year's resolutions.

Mmmmm, wouldn't it be nice to open a jar of raspberry jam in the winter and spread it on fresh, crispy bread? It's a sweet treat that brings back warm memories of summer and the process of making the jam.

Winter doesn't offer us many berries, but we can create a similar "winter jam" by dreaming and filling a jar with wishes and goals for the upcoming year. At the end of December, we can "open the jar" and discuss what has come true and what can be transferred to a new jar.

Let's starting the new year from scratch, or rather anew calendar. And not just a calendar, but a calendar where every day is a holiday!

In addition to the fact that this is a cool unusual decoration for your classroom, it can be used to arouse curiosity and make even the most silent students talk, devoting a few minutes at the beginning or at the end of the lesson to discussing the holiday, what it is dedicated to, how it is celebrated, what costumes and treats could be, etc.

Teach farm and wild animals to curious kids using shadows.

Read all the words in the word box all together. Then, in pairs, the kids write numbers next to the words, help each other, and check. Next, each student works independently and writes short sentences with the grammar structure which you practice.

This could be: It is/ There is/ Billy has got/ A rooster lives on the farm/ A pig is the second, etc.

Return to the same task for the next lesson. The children are now practicing speaking in pairs or mini groups. One person sees the entire worksheet, and the others bend their sheets so that only the picture remains.

The leader asks: What is number 3? The rest must find the animal in the picture and name it. Whoever named it correctly first gets a point. Then they swap roles.

You can work with wild animals in the same way.

Checkers 5in1 PowerPoint Presentation includes 5 boards with which your students can work out various vocabulary (animals, appearance, professions, food and action verbs), as well as revise and consolidate a huge number of grammar constructions.

The game can be both used online and offline.

The rules are easy! To make a move, the player must name what is in the square, or make up a sentence with this word/picture. If the answer is correct, the player moves to the checker, if incorrect, it remains on the spot and the opponent moves.

The detailed rules you will find in the help section (?).
