Using a set of items ask students to guess what this or that professional does and remember the name and where the person works. After that, discuss whether they would like to use these things in their future work or not and what they would add to the lists.
Ask them to come up with 3-4 more things that are used in these professions, and then they read the lists to each other in pairs and guess the professions.
There are 30 cards in the file. Grab it here for free.

Mmmmm, wouldn't it be nice to open a jar of raspberry jam in the winter and spread it on fresh, crispy bread? It's a sweet treat that brings back warm memories of summer and the process of making the jam.
Winter doesn't offer us many berries, but we can create a similar "winter jam" by dreaming and filling a jar with wishes and goals for the upcoming year. At the end of December, we can "open the jar" and discuss what has come true and what can be transferred to a new jar.

Let's starting the new year from scratch, or rather anew calendar. And not just a calendar, but a calendar where every day is a holiday!
In addition to the fact that this is a cool unusual decoration for your classroom, it can be used to arouse curiosity and make even the most silent students talk, devoting a few minutes at the beginning or at the end of the lesson to discussing the holiday, what it is dedicated to, how it is celebrated, what costumes and treats could be, etc.
