FREE Summer Mousehole game!
A fun flashcard game to teach or refresh any vocabulary. Both kids and teenagers like it.

Preparation:
- Choose and print a big card, to make it last longer laminate it or paste on a piece of cardboard and cut a hole in it. Hide the flashcards one by one behind it so that only a small part of the picture is visible. Children have to guess and name the word. You can practice the words or drill simple grammar structures in a fun way.

For example, "daily routines". The players' task is to name an action or come up with a short sentence (e.g., get dresssed or He gets dressed every morning; take a shower or He takes a shower; read a book or He reads a book etc.). Students can score points induvidually or in teams.

The file includes 11 mousehole cards of 2 types: with coloured and white background (in order to save ink, but in this case, it is recommended to print on thick paper).

You can use this game in any languages. Grab it in the comments.

Story Cubes (9 pcs.) can be used with groups or individuals, in summer camps or speaking clubs.

There are some ideas how to make lessons fun using them:

1. Children take turns to throw the cubes. The first student creates the beginning of the story, others its logical or crazy continuation.

2. Everyone throws 2-3 cubes and makes a funny story of 3-4 sentences about yesterday, last weekend, summer vocations or about any future plans. The stories can also be about last news they’ve read on the internet or about funny occasions with their friends.

Are you planning to watch a cartoon with children/a movie with adults or read a new book? If you don’t have enough time to prepare for the lesson Reading&Watching Prompts and Questions will be a great timesaver for such cases.

These questions will help students express their opinion or share impressions and emotions about the book they’ve read or the film/cartoon they’ve watched and also assess the characters and their actions.

How to use:
The teacher asks the students or they take turns to draw the cards and answer the questions. But you can add a little unpredictability. Use a spinner. The children sit in a circle and spin the arrow. Who the arrow is pointing to, answers the next question. The cards are also perfect for discussions in pairs or mini groups with the feedback after it.

Summer camp is about making new friends, having fun, and lots of movement. These cards for such purposes will be just right - a good way to warm up, and at the same time learn a couple of new words in English for:

- morning exercises;

- an easy dance with simple movements;

- changing activity.The leader chooses any cards (whichever they like best) and comes up with a mini dance, combining the actions as they like. He/she shows and names the movements, and the others repeat them. So the students move and improve their vocabulary.
