Recently a mutual of mine found these excerpts that state that Cardinal Pacelli (future Pius XII) and Pius XI had stated to the Italian Press, the papal ambassador to berlin, and to Mussolini that the Mit Brennender Sorge encyclical was NOT a condemnation of National Socialism.
