Two LUKOIL Group organizations – one in the Volgograd region of Russia and one in Uzbekistan – held accident handling drills.
Emergency response teams of the two facilities polished their methods of oil products spill response, including spill response at the water surface of the Volga River (Russia) and Pachkamarskoye reservoir (Uzbekistan). The teams also exercised real-time cooperation with local EMERCOM units.
Representatives of the regional emergency services and inspectors of the supervisory bodies commended the well-coordinated work of the industrial safety teams of the facilities.

LUKOIL agrees to acquire Russian downstream assets of Shell
LUKOIL announces conclusion of an agreement with subsidiaries of Shell plc to acquire 100% share in Shell Neft, which conducts retail petroleum products sales and lubricants production in Russia.
The assets of Shell Neft include 411 filling stations, primarily located in the Central and Northwestern federal districts of Russia, and lubricants blending plant located in Tver region.
The sale will be completed after its approval by Federal Antimonopoly Service.

The final agreement on acquisition of Shell’s Russian retail and lubricants assets was signed in Moscow. The assets include the chain of filling stations primarily located in the Central and Northwestern federal districts of Russia, and lubricants blending plant located in Tver region. The sale was approved by Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service.
“Our priority is the well-being of our employees,” said Huibert Vigeveno, Shell’s Downstream Director. “Under this deal, all the people currently working for Shell Neft, more than 350 in total, will remain employed by the company, which is now owned by LUKOIL.”
“We appreciate the fact that Shell chose our Company. I am certain that Shell’s facilities will become a great addition to LUKOIL’s other downstream assets,” noted Maxim Donde, Vice President for Refined Products Sales of LUKOIL.

LUKOIL to develop Shell’s fuel stations network in Russia rebranded as Teboil
Following extensive discussions with the leaders and employees of Shell’s filling station network in Russia, acquired by LUKOIL last month, the decision was made to preserve the business as a separate subsidiary of the Company. It will develop under Teboil brand – a fuel brand that had not previously been present in the Russian market. The brand belongs to LUKOIL since 2005. The Company has already embarked upon a step-by-step rebranding of the filling stations.
Teboil was founded in Finland in 1934. It is one of the largest Finnish fuel businesses. Russian customers know the brand as the supplier of lubricants. Their imports date back to the 1960s. Now Russian market features about 150 high-quality Teboil products.
Teboil filling stations will offer new branded types of innovative fuels, as well as its own loyalty programme, integrated with LUKOIL’s one.
