Don't criticize people unless they ask you for criticism. It makes them hate you. If you've got nothing encouraging to say, just don't say anything. It's okay if they learn the hard way, save yourself from your need to save everyone else.

When people say "overpriced", they usually mean "I can't afford it" Something is only "overpriced" if cheaper products of the same quality are available in the market. If there are no cheaper substitutes, then it's just a product you can't afford.

Business advice: Always have multiple suppliers, multiple contractors, etc. It gives you more negotiation leverage, and doesn't halt operations if one suppler messes up in some way. It sounds obvious when I put it like that, but you'd be surprised how many learn the hard way.
