Billing Update: Changes to Balance Payments

We’ve updated how invoice payments from the balance work in LLHOST billing.

Before:
Funds were deducted from the balance 1 day before the service renewal date.

Now:
Funds are deducted at the moment the invoice is created.

When invoices are generated:
— for current (new) plans — 14 days before the renewal date;
— for legacy plans — 7 days before the renewal date (no changes).

How it works now:
— if there are enough funds on the balance, the invoice is paid automatically at the moment it is created;
— if the balance is insufficient, you can pay the invoice directly or top up the balance and then manually pay the invoice from the balance.

Important for existing invoices:
If an invoice for service renewal has already been created, it must be paid manually — either directly or from the balance (if funds are already available).

What this change brings:
— fewer unnecessary payment notification emails;
— a more transparent and predictable billing process.

Please make sure to monitor your balance so that services are renewed on time and not suspended.

🚀 DNS Management API is now available

We previously announced that we would launch an API for the DNS service, and it is now available to LLHOST clients.

At this stage, the API allows you to manage DNS. We will gradually expand its functionality and add new features in the future.

Current limitations and authentication details:
— rate limit: 30 requests per minute
— authentication: Basic HTTP Auth
— JSON Web Token Auth will be added later

Important: the API is currently unavailable for accounts with 2FA enabled.

The documentation is already available in the client area: a new User API section has been added to the left-hand menu.

A quick update

The new VPS lineup has already been added to billing and is now available for viewing. We have not updated the website with the new plans yet, and dedicated plan pages will be added later.

For VPS, we have moved away from the shared-port and burst-speed model in favor of a clearer approach: guaranteed bandwidth and unlimited traffic. We also revised the lineup and reduced pricing for higher configurations.

If you are currently using V1 and need more RAM, you can already open a support ticket and ask about upgrading to Core S or Boost S. The new Core S is better than the old V1 in terms of hardware resources, is comparable to V1 Plus, and still costs less than the old V1 Plus.

If you need a dedicated 1 Gbps connection, our dedicated servers are the better fit.

On the DNS side, the plans in billing have already been updated, and we plan to refresh the service page on the website in April. The API is already live, and we can see that customers have started using it. We are also testing the infrastructure for a future move to Anycast DNS.

Our April plans also include a network infrastructure upgrade and increased channel capacity, and we are already actively working on this.

A few updates and reminders for this week.

Starting on Wednesday, we will carry out a planned replacement of core network equipment at our Estonia location.

The goal is to increase network capacity and improve overall performance. We expect to complete the work without downtime, but some customers may still notice brief packet loss or short periods of reduced service availability during the process.

No action is required from clients. We will do our best to keep any disruption to a minimum.

We would also like to remind you that 250 Mbps and 500 Mbps server group plans in Estonia and the Netherlands can be ordered through the billing panel.

We are trying to replenish available order slots on a daily basis, so if a plan is temporarily unavailable, please check again a bit later.

Starting from 01/05/2026, all clients with at least one active Core or Boost server order will be able to request a free DNS 5 account for as long as that server order remains active.

DNS 5 includes:
up to 5 domains
unlimited DNS records
unlimited DNS queries
API access available

And one more reminder: when registering domains with us, you can use DNS hosting free of charge. The same applies if you transfer a domain to us.
