The forex market is available for trading 24 hours a day, five and one-half days per week.
However, just because you can trade the market any time of the day or night doesn't necessarily mean that you should . Most successful day traders understand that more trades are successful, if conducted when market activity is high and that it is best to avoid times when trading is light.πβ π

Do you use Trading-view to analyze your price charts?? π»
I use @tradingview to analyze all of the currencies & stocks I trade and invest in. Having too many tabs up when using Trading-view can slow down you lap top due to it using too much of your computerβs memory. π This is why Iβm so glad Trading-view is now doing a beta test that allows us to download it and use their on-line platform right from our desktop as an app. π₯ π

The desktop app loads fast, is vibrant, and saves me time being able to access it from as a desktop application. Talk about living the laptop lifestyle!

I know there is some fear surrounding holding trades overnight due to paying over night fees which is referred to as swap.
Some brokers will charge you to hold your positions overnight and some wonβt. The fee isnβt as high as some may think but letβs put some context on it. Ready? π
π Think of swap as an overnight parking garage. You pay a fee to let the garage store it for you since youβre not coming and going so quickly.
π΅ Yes there is a fee but youβre hoping it can provide convience for you not looking for a parking space and providing safety for your vehicle.
As a swing trader who holds positions over night and through the weekend Iβm paying the broker to provide me with the security my money will still be in my account when I return and to execute any orders I may have without me being there. βπΎ
π Did you know your broker can pay you swap. Yep! Think of it as a dividend you gain from the stock market.
πWhen interest rates hit youβre going to want to be trading with the currency who has the highest interest rate. If you are the broker will pay you the difference between both currencyβs interest rates.
There is no need to want to avoid paying swap. Just think of it has a cost of doing business.
