⚡️ Blinken: US to give Ukraine additional $2 billion in military financing.

Washington will provide Ukraine with an additional $2 billion in foreign military financing, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on May 15.

Blinken made the announcement in Kyiv during a press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Kuleba.
⚡️Update: Russian attack on Mykolaiv injures 5.

The number of injured in a Russian attack against Mykolaiv on May 15 has risen to five, Governor Vitalii Kim reported.
⚡️ Blinken: Washington has not encouraged Ukraine to strike inside Russia with US weapons, but decision up to Kyiv.

Ukraine "has to make decisions for itself" when deciding how to use U.S.-supplied weapons that could strike targets inside Russian territory, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on May 15.

"We've not enabled or encouraged strikes outside of Ukraine, but ultimately, Ukraine has to make decisions for itself about how it's going to conduct this war," Blinken said during a press conference in Kyiv.
⚡️Russian airstrike targets Kherson, casualties reported.

Russian forces carried out an airstrike against the central part of Kherson on May 15, inflicting casualties, Governor Oleksandr Prokudin reported.

"According to preliminary information, there are victims among the population. Details will be provided later," Prokudin said on Telegram.
⚡️ Ukraine's public broadcaster says it received no fines over Azovstal T-shirts at Eurovision.

Ukraine's public broadcaster said on May 15 that it did not receive a fine over Azovstal T-shirts worn by Ukrainian artist Alyona Alyona and her delegation at the Eurovision Song Contest on the weekend.

Suspilne said in a statement on May 15 that it had not received any "complaints or fines for alleged violations of the rules."

In an Instagram post on May 14, Alyona Alyona, whose real name is Aliona Savranenko, said the clothing printed with the logo "Free Azovstal Defenders" had incurred a penalty from the organizers.

The number of injured in a Russian missile attack against Mykolaiv on May 15 has risen to six, the State Emergency Service reported.

The territory of a car repair shop caught fire, reportedly covering 400 square meters and affecting the building and several cars parked nearby.

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico was reportedly shot and injured in a shooting in the town of Handlova in Slovakia on May 15, lawmakers confirmed to the Slovak news agency Tasr.

Russian forces carried out an airstrike against central Kherson on May 15, injuring at least 11 people, Governor Oleksandr Prokudin reported.

A 15-year-old boy and his 53-year old father were injured in the attack, as was an 88-year-old man. The boy's father was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds.

Mariupol defender breaks down his famous Azovstal photos

Dmytro Kozatskyi, call sign "Orest," is a Ukrainian soldier who formerly headed the press service of the Azov regiment. He was based in Mariupol when Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022, and soon ended up at the last Ukrainian stronghold in the city — the Azovstal steel plant.
