Affected by the mandatory upgrade of the third-party platform Amazon Web Services (AWS), KuCoin is going to upgrade the Spot, Margin and Futures trading system on 04:30:00 am, July 20, 2021 (UTC). The upgrade will take about 3 hours.
During this period, the following functions will be affected:
1. KuCoin will suspend all Spot and Margin trading pairs on Web, App and Open API, including the order-matching, order placing, order cancelling.
2. KuCoin Futures will suspend the order-matching, order-placing, stop loss/take profit, auto-deposit margin and other related features on Web, App and Open API.
3. KuCoin will suspend services such as account login, market quotation view and Balance Transfer between accounts. The query function of "Open Orders" and "Asset Balance" on APP, WEB and Open API will be unstable temporarily. The message push and relevant interfaces of API market will not be available.
4. Fiat Trade System/ Pool-X System/ Margin Lend and Borrow System will be unstable temporarily.
5. The Trading Bot will not provide services, and the Open Orders will not be affected. Users will not be able to create or shut down trading bots and running robots will be suspended.
6. During the upgrade period, the Margin debt ratio notification will be suspended, the liquidation of the Margin account will not be processed, and the asset transfers will not be available between the Margin account and other accounts.
7. Subscribe and redeem of Leveraged Tokens will be unavailable during this period.
10 minutes will be reserved to open the cancellation function before the end of upgrading. To avoid possible risks, you may enable the “take profit/stop loss features”.
Once the cancellation function is activated, we will notify by announcement as soon as possible, please pay close attention.
Notice：
1. If a large price fluctuation occurs, we will postpone the upgrade accordingly and notify you via the announcement.
2. To avoid possible risks, users of KuCoin Futures may enable the “Auto-Deposit Margin” feature or close positions in advance.
3. During the upgrade period, order placing, order canceling, and order dealing will be suspended. Take profit/stop loss orders may be dealt with after the upgrade. Please cancel your orders in the Margin Market and Futures Market to avoid losses that may be caused by violent market fluctuations.
Before the upgrade, please control the debt ratio well in advance to avoid the risk of liquidation caused by the high debt ratio at the end of upgrading. 10 minutes will be reserved to add the collateral in the Margin account before the end of upgrading. You can reduce the debt ratio by transferring funds to your Margin Account.

The strategy of Request Rate Limit has modified by KuCoin on July 15, 2021 (UTC). After upgrading, Spot API and spot API will use the strategy.
1. When a rate limit is exceeded, a status of 429 will be returned.
