KuCoin Futures Trading System Will Be Suspended for 30 Mins for Upgrade - 0214

Dear KuCoin Futures users,

To further improve the performance of the contract trading system, KuCoin Futures has scheduled to perform a system upgrade at 04:30 on February 14, 2022 (UTC).

It is estimated that the order cancellation will be available at 04:50:00 (UTC), all trading and order matchmaking services will be available at 05:00:00 (UTC) the same day.

The upgrade will take about 30 minutes. During this period, the order-matching, order placing, take profit/stop loss features, as well as the auto-deposit margin and other contract functions on KuCoin Futures website, APP and openAPI will be temporarily suspended.

During the upgrading, users can’t create or stop the Futures Grid trading bots. The running bots will not be affected.

To avoid possible risks, you may enable the “Auto-Deposit Margin” feature or close positions in advance.

If a large price fluctuation occurs, we will postpone the upgrade accordingly and notify you via the announcement.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience.

Announcement on the Trading of KEEP/USDT Perpetual Contract

Dear KuCoin Users,

According to the Threshold official announcement, the NuCypher (NU) and Keep Network (KEEP) token will merge to a new token - Threshold Network Token (T).

For a better trading experience and to avoid the potential risks caused by the NU and KEEP merging plan, KuCoin Futures provides a solution for the trading of KEEP perpetual contracts. The details are as follows:

The KEEP/USDT perpetual contract will be delisted at 12:00 on February 17, 2022 (UTC). Of this contract, the open orders will be canceled, and the positions will be settled at the average index price during the last 30 minutes before the delisting. A separate announcement will be made for the listing of T futures contracts.

The current funding rate at 12:00 on the day of delisting will be 0, and the settlement will not charge any funding fees or service fees.

The market may fluctuate sharply before the contract delisting. It is suggested that the users control risks by reducing the leverage or by closing positions in advance.

Trading Bot will remove the KEEP/USDT Futures Grid trading pair, and stop the running bots at the same time.

Scheduled KuCoin Trading System Upgrade on February 22

Dear KuCoin Users,

Due to the malfunction of our third-party service system AWS, KuCoin is going to upgrade the trading system on 04:30:00 am, February 22, 2022 (UTC). The upgrade will take about 40 minutes.

During this period, the following functions will be affected:

1. KuCoin will suspend all Spot and Margin (Cross and Isolated) trading pairs on Web, App and Open API, including the order-matching, order placing, order canceling.

2. KuCoin will suspend all ETF secondary market trading pairs on Web, App, and Open API, including order-matching, order placing, order canceling.

3. The Trading Bot will temporarily cease its services. Users will not be able to create or shut down trading bots and the running robots will not be influenced.

10 minutes will be reserved to open the cancellation function before the end of the upgrade. To avoid possible risks, you may enable the “take profit/stop loss features”.

Once the cancellation function is activated, we will notify everyone of the announcement as soon as possible; please pay close attention to our news channels.

Notice：

1. If a large price fluctuation occurs, we will postpone the upgrade accordingly and notify you via the announcement.

2. During the upgrade period, order placing, order canceling, and order dealing will be suspended. Take profit/stop loss orders may be dealt with after the upgrade. Please cancel your orders in the Margin Market to avoid losses that violent market fluctuations may cause.

Before the upgrade, please control the debt ratio well in advance to avoid the risk of liquidation caused by the high debt ratio at the end of upgrading. 10 minutes will be reserved to add the collateral in the Margin account before the end of upgrading. You can reduce the debt ratio by transferring funds to your Margin Account.

Tick size via API will also change. API users may use GET /api/v1/symbols exchange info for the latest tick size.
The tick size update will not affect existing orders. After the tick size is updated, orders placed before the update will be matched with the original tick size.
