This is the easy way to do so. You can also use command lines after installing git — the version control system. 🍀

Let us go through it step by step. 1️⃣ 2️⃣ 3️⃣ 4️⃣.

1️⃣. Log into your GitHub account and explore to your profile. Click on "Repositories".

2️⃣. After you have clicked "repositories", click on the "New" icon on the top right of the webpage.

3️⃣. You will see a bunch of sections after clicking the "New" icon inside the "Repositories".

It asks your "Repository Name", a "Description" which is optional, and a choice to make the repository "Public" or "Private". There is a check box that asks if you would like to add a readme file or not.

Adding a readme file is recommended because this file serves to contain the description about the project which you are about to include in the "Repository".

4️⃣. After you have dealt with step 3️⃣, you will see something like this. A new "Repository" is created in your GitHub account.

You can then click on the "Add file" dropdown button to "Create new file" or "Upload files" to the repository.

You can write code or paste your code by creating a new file or you can drag and drop "codes" from your local machine.

It is your choice

Let us walk through the steps. Which are only 4️⃣ 😁

We have used geez number on the pictures 🤗

🍀 After you have successfully created a repository, you may want to host it on the internet. You can achieve this on GitHub for free 🎉🎉

Step 1️⃣. Get into your repository and click on "settings". In this example the repository is "sample-repo".

2️⃣. In the "settings", you will see "pages" button on the left side of the bar. Click on the button. 🖱

3️⃣. After clicking on "pages" button, you will see a section called "branch" click on it and select the branch you would like to host. (the branch is mostly the "main" branch).

🍀🍀 And for the final step 🍀🍀

4️⃣.✨ After you have selected the branch to be hoisted, leave the "/root" option as it is since "/root" is the parent directory of the project.

💡 Then click on save, wait for a little time and refresh the page (If you are on GitHub app, you can use ctrl + r to refresh). A link will be provided on the section "GitHub Pages" with this format:

https://your_username.github.io/repository_name/

💡💡🍀 After the link is provided to you, you have now successfully hosted you project on the internet through GitHub pages.

👉🏾 You may use it to link any place you want, and also showcase your work for other.

Hosting on GitHub is as easy as that. Try it!
