๐จ๐พโ๐ป๐ฉ๐พโ๐ป DevFest Addis 2025 hosted by Google Developers Group Addis (GDG Addis) was an interactive and inspiring one day event. The space was open for networking with fellow designers ๐จ and programmers โจ๏ธ
๐ค Guest speakers were awesome people, and the founder of Jami couldn't inspire me more ๐ฅ
๐ญ Since I was not coding much recently, I wasn't active on the Fest to network with other programmers. I felt like I need to code more ๐
On the event, I got these points:
โซ๏ธ Think beyond coding. Think about problem solving.
โซ๏ธ Leverage AI, learn from it and go to solving problems.
โซ๏ธ Have a GROWTH mindset.
โซ๏ธ Whenever you are building, build scalable, secure and stable products. Start AI as a feature, not as a foundation.
๐จ๐พโ๐ซ For the panels, I have joined Track #1: Open Source Is the Shortcut: Start with Side Projects, End with a Career. I wasn't paying attention but these ideas crossed me:
๐๐พ Your code becomes your reputation.
๐๐พ Open Source Software (OSS) teaches you real skills.
New Terms (for the beginner me ๐)
โ๐พ MVP = Minimum Viable Product
โ๐พ OSS = Open Source Software
