Told ya it's gonna be a lot.
0️⃣ For starters I'm trying a new format by giving updates monthly like a magazine, if anyone remembers those. Hopeful to keep up the pace of 3-4 project updates per release (might be 2 months if the content is really dry) plus occasional jokes here and there.

1️⃣ The elephant in the room. My biggest UI/UX project: Full website design for BAS Būve.
You are already familiar with the branding. And now I'm putting those guidelines to use. As already stated, this is my biggest project and it is still going, more on that later. This is a big learning experience for me. We've also added a whole new Careers page on top of the original task of 4 different pages. Don't get fooled by the similar appearance at first glance, that page introduces new input types, windows and page logic. I have redone the offer description and application form windows at least 3 times. Each.
Spoilers, now we're also working on implementing AI based (don't boo the messenger) bill of materials calculation, which is, again, a whole new page with more ways to send and see data
And the best part? The demo version is already up and online!* basbuve.lv/en
*Desktop version is almost on par with my mock-ups, mobile version still needs some polishing.

2️⃣ New vocabulary and 90+ references: Elzenqr
As previously mentioned, while I was working on BAS Būve, there was another project that I took a part in. This was supposed to be a couture brand that merged phantasmagoria, epochal dissonance and timelessness. Naturally, because this was my first ever entry in couture medium, I had to collect some images to really feel the vibes we're going with.
Five hours. It took me 5 hours and about a 100 images¹ to really say that I've got the idea somewhat. Same with fonts, about 30 typefaces and an hour of scrolling. Time was short, so we agreed on something basic before the first major developments. I did just that²: Simple wordmark, existing typefaces and a nice palette. Fun fact: I remade the whole wordmark pixel-by-pixel in Figma so I could tweak the E and scale the whole thing properly.
Then after a week or so we had to cut the plans short. It was a pity because I was hyped up to continue the work. Wishing my best in new beginnings.

3️⃣ Portfolio Website Update
After a long time what I'd only call "procrastinationmaxxing" I am taking another go at making my own portfolio website. This time though there will be much healthier expectations.
Starting with overall structure. For a more solid start, instead of my last idea¹ I'll need to work up from a much simpler version² that actually going to exist.
I'll also let go of a plan of making every entry an editorial. Even writing these updates took me an embarrassingly long time. Only important milestones.
And for the last this time I am going to use WordPress instead of making it all from the ground up. This will save me a lot of time and effort.
