*Korean Particles (는/은 and 를/을*
✨는 or 은 (Subject)
•Use 는 when the last letter of the syllable of the subject is a vowel
나 = 나는
저 = 저는
•Use 은 when the last letter of the last syllable of the subject is a consonant
집 = 집은
책 = 책은
✨를 or 을 (Object)
•Use 를 when the last letter of the last syllable is a vowel
나 = 나를
저 = 저를
•Use 을 when the last letter of the last syllable is a consonant
집 = 집을
책 = 책을
✨는 or 은 (Subject)
•Use 는 when the last letter of the syllable of the subject is a vowel
나 = 나는
저 = 저는
•Use 은 when the last letter of the last syllable of the subject is a consonant
집 = 집은
책 = 책은
✨를 or 을 (Object)
•Use 를 when the last letter of the last syllable is a vowel
나 = 나를
저 = 저를
•Use 을 when the last letter of the last syllable is a consonant
집 = 집을
책 = 책을
The first one is for *subject* . You already know what is subject means, to make your sentence perfect ㅋㅋㅋ, you must add this particle, 는/은. Before you add this particle , you must see wether the last alphabet for a word is a vowel or a consonant, if the alphabet is vowel, you must add 는. For example, the word 모자, the last alphabet for that word is ㅏ, ㅏ is vowel, so you must add 는, and it'll be 모자는. If the last alphabet for a word is consonant, you must add 은. For example, 문. The last alphabet for 문 is ㄴ, ㄴ is consonant. So you must add 은 and it'll be 문은. Okay any question?
And take notes, this is just the same as *object* but for object you must add 를 or 을. If the last alphabet is vowel, add 를, if the last alphabet is consonant, add 을. Okay?
*에 (Place or Time)*
✨If you do an action at a time, you must attach the particle 에 to the word indicating the time
Example: 저는 7p.m에 친구를 만났어요 - I met my friend at 7p.m
✨에 is also attached to a word to indicate that it is a place in the sentence
Example: 나는 학교에 간다 - I'm going to school
✨If you do an action at a time, you must attach the particle 에 to the word indicating the time
Example: 저는 7p.m에 친구를 만났어요 - I met my friend at 7p.m
✨에 is also attached to a word to indicate that it is a place in the sentence
Example: 나는 학교에 간다 - I'm going to school
에 is for time and place, if your sentence have a time or a place like "I meet my friends at *7pm* " and "I'm going to *school* ", you must add 에 to your sentence. That's all
*To Be: 이다*
✨The word 'to be' is represented by a different word (is/am/are/was/were) depending on the subject and tense of the sentence
✨The basic structure for a sentence predicated by 이다 is:
(noun는/은)(another noun)(이다)
For example:
나는 여자이다 - I'm a woman
✨The word 'to be' is represented by a different word (is/am/are/was/were) depending on the subject and tense of the sentence
✨The basic structure for a sentence predicated by 이다 is:
(noun는/은)(another noun)(이다)
For example:
나는 여자이다 - I'm a woman
*This and That (이/그/저)*
✨We use 이 in Korean when we are talking about something that is within the touching distance
✨We use 그 when we are talking about something from a previous context, regardless of if you could see it or not
✨We use 저 when we are talking about something that you can see, but cannot touch because it is too far away
*Using This and That with 이다*
✨그 사람은 의사이다 - That person is a doctor
✨We use 이 in Korean when we are talking about something that is within the touching distance
✨We use 그 when we are talking about something from a previous context, regardless of if you could see it or not
✨We use 저 when we are talking about something that you can see, but cannot touch because it is too far away
*Using This and That with 이다*
✨그 사람은 의사이다 - That person is a doctor
The meaning of 이 is "this". Of course you already know what is "this" means. For example, you're walking around at the park, and suddenly you saw a person accidentally drop the wallet, and the person didn't know it. You take the wallet and go to that person, then you ask "is *this* your wallet?", for this question you must use 이. Got it?
I'll give you a situation, imagine that you're at a restaurant, your seat is far away from the counter, you called one of your friend and then you said "look at *that* person (refer to the cashier), she's so cute." You see the cashier but you can't touch it because you're too far. In this sentence, you must use 저. Got it?
