Audio from أبو هارون
A heartbreaking clip from a Palestinian man fearing for his life sheds light on the unimaginable trauma unfolding in Gaza at this very moment. With a trembling voice, he describes how the oppressive Israeli government is burying innocent civilians alive—men, women, children, journalists, and medics.

This is not just a conflict; this is a humanitarian catastrophe. The cries from Gaza are desperate, raw, and real. This man is reaching out to the world—pleading with anyone who has a voice, a platform, a conscience—to speak up, to act, to help stop this nightmare.

At the very least, we must raise our hands to the sky and make sincere dua for them. Keep the people of Gaza in your prayers constantly—before you sleep, when you wake, and in every moment you remember. May their cries be heard. May their pain not go in vain.

✏️Summarise Your Lessons 🗒️

⬆️As shown in the example here, this is a summary of Lesson One in Sarf (Arabic Morphology). The notes use a tree diagram to visually break down the information for better understanding.

There are numerous benefits in summarising notes and several case studies that show the effects of summarising especially in relations to memory and retention. Such as:

1️⃣Active Recall and Retention:

Studies have shown that summarising information helps students actively engage with the material, which in turn aids retention. When students condense information into their own words, they engage in active recall, which has been shown to strengthen memory.

2️⃣ Improved Comprehension:

There has been a case study which found that students who summarised texts were better able to recall key concepts and details than those who simply reread or passively took notes. Summarising requires students to process and understand the material deeply.

3️⃣ Reduction of Cognitive Load

Summarising allows students to filter out loaded information, focusing only on the key concepts. This reduction in cognitive load can help learners manage more complex content, as they concentrate on the most important points.

4️⃣ The "Write-to-Learn" Effect

Research has suggested that writing notes by hand, as opposed to typing, can enhance understanding and recall. When summarising, especially by hand, students engage in deeper cognitive processing.

A simple yet effective tip when using the Arabic Vocab notebook
🗒️

https://t.me/Knowledgeknotes/217

Using a different coloured pen can help you visually differentiate between things. If you’re a visual learner, this might be for you. Writing your sentences in a different colour can increase your focus and attention. For example using the colour red can grab the attention to the eye due to it being a stimulating colour.

You can purchase the Vocab notebook on our website:

A Tree diagram 🌳

Tree diagrams: a powerful tool in breaking down the knowledge. They turn complexity into clarity, helping us visualise knowledge the way it branches and grows.

Here is a video to showcase how one can use a tree diagram in their notes.

Here are some benefits:

1️⃣Simplifies Complex Ideas
– Breaks down detailed information into smaller, manageable parts.

2️⃣Organises Information Clearly – Shows the relationship between concepts in a logical, visual format.

3️⃣Helps with better comprehension and recall through visualisation.

Have you ever tried using a tree diagram in your notes?
It doesn’t have to be neat as long as it is legible and clear.

Why not give it a try?
