Where are those seeking Jannah?

Imām Muslim narrated in his Sahih (1028) on the authority of Abu Hazim Al-Ashja'ee, from Abu Huraira (may Allāh be pleased with him), who said:

The Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said: "Who among you has started the day fasting?"

Abū Bakr (may Allāh be pleased with him) replied: "I have."

The Prophet (ﷺ) then asked: "Who among you has followed a funeral today?"

Abū Bakr (may Allāh be pleased with him) replied: "I have."

The Prophet (ﷺ) asked again: "Who among you has fed a needy person today?"

Abū Bakr (may Allāh be pleased with him) replied: "I have."

The Prophet (ﷺ) then asked: "Who among you has visited a sick person today?"

Abū Bakr (may Allāh be pleased with him) replied: "I have."

Upon this, the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said: "These qualities are not combined in a person except that he will enter Paradise."

I came home yesterday after a long and exhausting day, already thinking about all the orders I still needed to pack—stamping tissue paper, getting everything ready. But subḥān Allāh, the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted by a surprise: my mother had already stamped all the tissue paper and prepared everything for me—without me even asking.

It truly made me reflect on the greatness of Allāh—how He lifted that burden from me and how He knows exactly what we need, even before we realise it ourselves. Truly, He is the One who knows all things and aids us in every step.

وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ ۚ وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بَـٰلِغُ أَمْرِهِۦ ۚ قَدْ
جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ لِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدْرًۭا

“And He will provide for him from (sources) he could never imagine. And whoever puts their trust in Allah, then He is sufficient for them. Verily, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Indeed, Allah has set a measure for all things.” [Surah At-Talāq (65:3)

"The student of knowledge attends and listens, while the general public also attend and listen. However, the student of knowledge attends with his book containing the lesson, so he can benefit from it and write down some of the benefits. This has a great advantage, for when he listens and writes down what he might otherwise miss, it becomes a good deed."

I swear to God, please spread this message. I swear to God, there are people being buried alive. I swear to God, at this very moment, people are being buried alive. They are burying people alive—journalists, paramedics, children, the elderly, everyone—old and young. I swear to God, the displaced people who returned from Rafah are still being buried alive. That's why the message isn't reaching anyone—because they're burying the journalists along with the children and everyone else. I swear to God, this is a testimony from inside the Gaza Strip—that people are being buried alive.

We're sending out these messages and recordings in hopes that maybe someone will listen. They don’t have to be Muslim—anyone with a living conscience, please hear me and share this recording. I swear to God, the situation is beyond catastrophic. This isn’t about food or water. It’s about people being buried alive. I swear to God, brothers and sisters, people are being buried alive.

Please, I beg you by God, if there is any appeal, any living conscience, any person who can raise their voice, who can speak out—if you know French, English, any language—help us spread this message. I beg you, share this with the world. Let people hear, let people see what we’re going through. This is a message from the people inside Gaza. I swear to God, they are being buried alive. Hasbun Allah wa ni'mal wakeel (God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs).

A heartbreaking clip from a Palestinian man fearing for his life sheds light on the unimaginable trauma unfolding in Gaza at this very moment. With a trembling voice, he describes how the oppressive Israeli government is burying innocent civilians alive—men, women, children, journalists, and medics.

This is not just a conflict; this is a humanitarian catastrophe. The cries from Gaza are desperate, raw, and real. This man is reaching out to the world—pleading with anyone who has a voice, a platform, a conscience—to speak up, to act, to help stop this nightmare.

At the very least, we must raise our hands to the sky and make sincere dua for them. Keep the people of Gaza in your prayers constantly—before you sleep, when you wake, and in every moment you remember. May their cries be heard. May their pain not go in vain.

✏️Summarise Your Lessons 🗒️

There are numerous benefits in summarising notes and several case studies that show the effects of summarising especially in relations to memory and retention. Such as:

Studies have shown that summarising information helps students actively engage with the material, which in turn aids retention. When students condense information into their own words, they engage in active recall, which has been shown to strengthen memory.

There has been a case study which found that students who summarised texts were better able to recall key concepts and details than those who simply reread or passively took notes. Summarising requires students to process and understand the material deeply.

3️⃣ Reduction of Cognitive Load

Summarising allows students to filter out loaded information, focusing only on the key concepts. This reduction in cognitive load can help learners manage more complex content, as they concentrate on the most important points.

4️⃣ The "Write-to-Learn" Effect

Research has suggested that writing notes by hand, as opposed to typing, can enhance understanding and recall. When summarising, especially by hand, students engage in deeper cognitive processing.
