#1 STRUGGLING TO LEARN? 👪

[Just realised as] I was struggling to learn something deen-related and I just felt like giving up 😞

However post reflection on a few mindset pointers I felt motivated to carry on and just do it! 💪

Rather than feeling you are unable to do it or thinking you are just plain dumb 🥴

Here's some tips to overcome your struggles

JUST THINK
Maybe it's because The Almighty wants something more from you before He gifts it to you. 🤔

Maybe He wants you to reflect deeper into the matter, Hence why He wants you to struggle to a particular limit. 🤔

Only then would you appreciate the weight of what you are learning, especially when you have had to push past many of your "demons" (or self limiting barriers) and negative self talk telling you "why even bother" in your mind (damn demons again! 😈)

And also just think, if you didn't make the extra effort or struggled maybe you wouldn't receive the same station of reward 🤔

So change your mindset from one of pessimism to a more positive outlook and always think, what a blessing it is that He allows you to gain through struggle 😁

And that feeling you get once you achieve your goals is a sense of deep satisfaction which embraces humility and gratitude, Alhamdulillah!🤩

Sometimes when you get things that dont require much effort, it may not have the same value as if you struggled for it 🏆

So in a nutshell, DONT GIVE UP! IN THE STRUGGLE IS HIKMAH (WISDOM)!

In the next reminder I will focusing on how not to get disheartened if you can't see progress

#2 HOW NOT TO GET DISHEARTENED WITH PROGRESS

Can a one legged man do the marathon? Of course they can - maybe not as good as if they had both limbs but they can still do it, you just need the right frame of mind to give you will power 🔋

Yes, I know progress may be very very slow, it will require a lot more effort than normal and you would need a lot of determination and grit, but it can - be - done SO DONT GIVE UP!

Same like learning, the brain may be hampered in some ways that only you can understand , but don't let that stop you - be strong in faith, mind and body and never lose sight of the end goal 💪

Heres some tips
Tip 1 - Don't compare yourself to others - its a sure way to give up

Ask yourself am I on my own path, am I staying consistent and diligently to what is important to me?

Am I doing something that is for my sake and not for others?
Am I measuring up for others or am on my own path?

When you living a conforming life to others around you, you will always feel discouraged because that is who you are trying to please.

Don't compare to others, do you for your own self

Tip 2 - If you are struggling dont suffer in silence, ask for support or help. The world is full of good people who can help you on your journey.

So in a nutshell, DONT GIVE UP! In the struggle is hikmah (wisdom)!

In the next reminder I will focusing on how its never too late to learn

#3 NEVER TOO LATE TO LEARN
From Bravepath.org | Deen

Ever feel like you're past the age of learning?

Do you feel like you're just too old to learn something new, especially when progress is frustratingly slow? 🐌

Well the truth is that as long as you have the determination you can always learn inshaAllah🎓

It may not be as quick as once upon a time and will requires serious effort to make meaningful progress, but it can be done 👊

Take it from me I seriously struggle on remembering important dates and when trying to learn new ayahs 🤯 🧠

So here's two tips I recommend to overcome the feeling of not being able to learn something new

Tip number 1 - Don't doubt yourself
Get rid of the self doubts, don't listen to the inner voices that fill you with pessimism. Dismiss them and carry on doing the motions, you will one day see the result 💫

Tip number 2 - see small steps as accomplishments
Never think about the enormity of the task, just keep plodding on. Say alhamdulillah for the little improvement you made from the day before. Take every step as it comes before you know it you will be chugging away 🚂

In conclusion

Don't give up! Allah rewards you for your struggling and effort 🤩

#4 DO IT FOR YOURSELF
from Bravepath.org | Deen

If a person spends all their life solely working for their families to have a better life in the dunya, are they likely to have a good akhira too?

I'm sure you would agree it depend on the intention and ultimately we don't know what actions will lead us to jannah 🤷

Here are some perspectives to consider

Perspective A
If a person is selflessly doing things, putting others needs before their own, and in the process entirely neglecting their own ibadah and spiritual development

I'm sure you would agree it would be a cause for concern regarding their akhira 📛

Perspective B
Before doing things for others we think about the reward or knowing it is an action loved by Allah,

In doing so, we are thinking about it with the view of our akhira,

Even if we put others priorities above our own (ithar) this is still thinking about where you will end up in the akhira up by doing such an action

In conclusion

Why are we doing what we do for others?

Questions like this would be a good measure to understand your actual perspective in daily life

Allah commands us to worship Him, through actions i.e. memorising, learning ilm to perform ibadah properly, understanding the Qur'an, correcting our internal moral compass 🧭 and much more

This requires time and effort, so make sure it is properly prioritised i.e. to fit it into your daily routine

Among the actions loved by Allah are those that may be small but consistent

In addition, is to honour the rights of others

It is due to the Mercy of Allah that we are inclined towards looking after our families and communities

However we must be conscious of Allah when doing them, in doing so we are getting rewarded so much more and distinguishes us from those who don't believe in the akhira
