We are trained for just about every thing we do in life.

Yet, few of us receive any training when it comes to parenting! We find ourselves with children and then wondering (and wandering) what to do next. Some of us may be blessed with parents who have given us an insight into good parenting, others haven’t. So there is a lot of trial and error and learning on the job.

Add to that already challenging mix, we Muslims have to try to raise our children on Islam. That brings in extra hurdles to navigate through especially when we live in a world where Islam (and religion in general) has become strange.
So here goes.

A couple of ordinary Muslim parents living in the West writing about their feelings, thoughts and experiences on the challenges of raising Muslim children.

It’s varied. Some of it is what you’d expect to hear. A lot of it is situational and reflects what is going on around us. All of it, if Allah wills, is about bringing Islam into things.

Why Successful People Are Often Lonely

If you concentrate solely on your career you can get a long way in your career And I would say that that's a strategy that a minority of men.

Preferentially do that that's all they do they worked like 70/80 hours a week.

They go flat out on their career. They're staking everything on the small probability of exceptional status in a narrow domain But it's it's hard on them. They don't have a life. It's very difficult for them to have a family.
