Evening Thought:

I think we can call it a day and week here team. It's Friday and we're going into the late session which is where there is usually a fight for the close.

I can honestly say, the last two weeks have been extremely hard to trade so don't be disheartened if you didn't catch the move, or long when you look back in retrospect, or short the top. The market moves like this to take your money, I can guarantee you that you will struggle to find someone who managed to swing long gold from 2500 to 4400 so don't listen to the socials, it will only make you feel like you missed out. Trading is difficult, it takes time, and even then, because of the discipline needed, most of these moves on the swings in aggressive markets get missed by even long term traders.

I'm pleased with the performance the last two weeks in some of the most extreme conditions. We've hit nearly every Gold target, the levels have worked well, the red boxes have been great and the hot spots have given some very good RIPs. But, in markets like this, most professional traders are not even on their screens, they're sitting on their hands and waiting for things to settle before getting back in. One 400pip candle spiking against you is enough to blow an account if you're not trading with an SL, so if you're sitting there thinking "I missed the move", know it's what the market wants you to think. Did you really miss the move, or did you just protect yourself and your money so when the time is right, you're ready to make the most of it.
