When you're scalping you're looking for the perfect entry because you're trading with a larger lot size to travel a shorter distance, almost like a sprinter, using all their energy to go 100m. A marathon runner needs to conserve their energy so will manage for the longer distance. Like scaling in, you won't get the perfect entry, if there is a target above and you're only looking to short the market use a smaller lot size to get into position for a longer capture

Traders will watch drawdown for weeks when the market is going against them, comes to scaling into a position and we don't like drawdown.
